At its annual meeting during the week of April 25, the Board of Directors of Voices of Othodox Women voted unanimously to endorse The Rev. Dr. Robert Davis in his candidacy for the position of Stated Clerk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

Sylvia Dooling, President of VOW, said:

"I have known and worked with Bob Davis for nearly ten years.  A former trial attorney, he understands that the Stated Clerk cannot remain passive in the face of ongoing efforts to deconstruct and defy our Constitution. At the same time, his calm judicial demeanor, analytical mind, and ability to communicate clearly allow him to respond to issues in a careful and thoughtful manner. More often proactive than reactive, Bob understands the crisis we are facing as a denomination, but does not respond to it in a careless or inflammatory way.  He offers the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) the prospect of strong, active, and composed leadership."
